Rama was on the podium when the egg attack began.

Awaiting for the parliament speaker to intervene, Rama had to leave the session, Albeu.com website has reported.

A photo showing Hasha hitting Rama with eggs was published by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, along with the message, "for those present - toast and eggs."

Website Lajmi Fundit is reporting that Hasha threw eggs at Rama while the prime minister was addressing the parliament, which was followed by a clash of MPs with security.

At the same time, with the beginning of the plenary session of the Albanian parliament, a large number of students gathered in front of the building, continuing protests that have been ongoing in several Albanian for 16 days.

The protesters want Rama's government to meet their demands, which mainly concern better conditions for studying.
