The request was submitted in February 2016.

The European Commission was then asked to prepare a questionnaire for Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The decision was made after it was assessed that all conditions from the European agenda necessary to consider the application had been met.

The Council today formally asked the European Commission for its opinion on the request of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Media in Bosnia are reporting on Tuesday that the country will in the coming period receive several thousand questions that it must answer.
