U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, European Council President Donald Tusk and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic are among those expected to attend, Tanjug said on Monday.

The Blic daily has reported in the past that Nikolic has been invited to the summit by Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic on the fringes of last September's UN General Assembly meeting in New York.

A visit to Zagreb would be his first to Croatia since becoming president of Serbia in 2012, the paper said.

The meeting will be hosted by Grabar Kitarovic and Slovenian President Borut Pahor, who expect the EU and the US to back the inclusion of the region's countries in the EU and stabilisation and solutions for their relations.
