Bulgaria's Deputy Regional Minister Denitsa Nikolova said this on Friday.
In Sofia, Nikolova opened the first meeting of the Bulgaria-Serbia monitoring committee for the program, the BTA has reported.
The cross-border cooperation program is crucial because grants for tourism no longer fall under the Regional Development Operational Program, Nikolova said Thursday.
The Bulgaria-Serbia Cross-Border Cooperation Program will provide access to EUR 34 million, with two new regions added - Bulgaria's Vratsa and Serbia's Toplica.
The three priority objectives the program revolves around are sustainable tourism, youth and the environment.
