A Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) was signed on building a bridge over the Drina River between Ljubovija and Bratunac next spring.

Serbia, RS sign MOC for construction industry

The Memorandum will facilitate the cooperation between construction companies, and the building of traditional Serb houses in RS. They signaled that the building of a bridge over the Drina River between Ljubovija and Bratunac could begin next spring.

Mihajlovic said that, in November, the governments of Serbia and RS will organize a meeting, bringing together construction sector workers of the two countries in an effort to help them agree on joint bidding in the domestic and foreign markets.

At a press conference held in the RS government after the signing of the document, Mihajlovic said that Serbia and RS have intensive cooperation.

Minister Golic said that construction firms in the fields of building and infrastructure are facing problems when trying to obtain references for major projects which are mostly granted to foreign companies.

She said that the construction of traditional Serb houses will begin in the municipality of Samac.
