Serbian FM in Croatia on June 30-July 1

Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkić will visit Croatia on June 20-July 1 as a member of a Serbian delegation and attend the formal of Croatia's EU accession.

The Foreign Ministry made the announcement on Friday.

The central ceremony will be held at the centre of Zagreb on Sunday, where Croatia's Prime Minister Zoran Milanović, President Ivo Josipović and presidents of the European Commission, European Council and European Parliament will address the gathering.

Since Zagreb will be host to top officials from the region, it will also be an opportunity for Mrkić to discuss with his colleagues cooperation in the region and EU enlargement after Croatia's accession, the statement says.

Mrkić visited Zagreb in early March and met with Foreign Minister Vesna Pusić, Parliament Speaker Josip Lek, and Josipović.


Romania to observe day of mourning

Romanian PM Victor Ponta has said that his government will declare Wednesday a day of mourning after 18 Romanians died in a bus crash in Montenegro.
