Serbia open to strengthening ties with Asia-Pacific

Ivica Dacic was on Tuesday a guest of honor at an informal working lunch with a group of ambassadors of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.


The event in Belgrade was hosted by the ambassador of Myanmar, Myo Aye, the government has announced.

Speaking to the ambassadors, the first deputy PM and foreign minister stressed that Serbia pays special attention to strengthening ties and developing cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, expressing the satisfaction that our relations with the region have been raised to an even higher level in the last period.

In this context, he assessed that the political dialogue between Serbia and the countries of Asia and the Pacific has been intensified, that economic cooperation is developing successfully, and new perspectives for enhancing cooperation are opening in other areas.

Ambassadors of the Asia-Pacific Group of countries in Serbia expressed their gratitude to Dacic, reaffirming readiness to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation with Serbia.
