Serbian FM receives assistant UN secretary-general

The UN official is in Belgrade for the Second Digital Summit of the Western Balkans, which she addressed on Thursday.

Dacic expressed his satisfaction with Spoljaric Egger's first visit to our country, shortly after she took office in October 2018.

He voiced gratitude to UNDP for its engagement to date in many areas, in particular through providing technical assistance and expertise for development projects, supporting the implementation of the UN Agenda on Sustainable Development by 2030, and establishing a sustainable development and humanitarian aid system.

UNDP's activities, as he pointed out, significantly contribute to the comprehensive reforms of our society and the progress of Serbia in the process of EU accession.

Spoljaric Egger assessed that the cooperation so far has yielded very good results, and confirmed the willingness to support UNDP in Serbia even more actively during its mandate.
