UK: Travel to Kosovo - but not to North. There's crime there

The UK embassy in Pristina has announced that media reports that said the UK had advised its citizens not to travel to Kosovo were not true.

Instead, the embassy stated it is advising its citizens to avoid traveling to the municipalities in the North, except when necessary.

As they stated on Facebook, the advisory came "due to a number of recent violent incidents linked to organized crime in Northern Kosovo, and the ongoing risk that these structures pose."

The UK embassy in Pristina added that regular updates were issued about travel advice concerning northern Kosovo.
