Vucic said he was looking forward to continued cooperation with Recep Tayyip Erdogan because Serbia "attaches great importance to true friendship with Turkey and is committed to good and solid bilateral relations."

He stressed that Serbia remains a reliable partner in order to further develop political relations and to expand economic and any other cooperation with mutual understanding and respect.

Vucic said that he was looking forward to Erdogan's visit here, when they will mark a significant anniversry - 140 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Turkey, but also to discuss concrete projects that will further bind together the two countries in the future, the president's press office said in a statement.

Reports, meantime, said that opposition candidates have won both in Ankara and in Istanbul.
