Dacic today in Belgrade "pointed to the rich tradition of Serbian-Jewish friendship that withstood the greatest historical challenges that both nations have faced."

It is also an opportunity to emphasize a common orientation towards the future and further strengthening of relations and cooperation, mutual understanding and closeness, he pointed out, noting that Serbia highly appreciates Israel's principled stand not to recognize Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence, "which, without a doubt, positively reflects the quality and content of overall relations."
