Serbia to be guest of honor at St. Petersburg Forum

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received on Friday Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Chepurin, the Serbian government announced.

The spoke about "preparations for the presentation of the Serbian economy at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum."

The two officials "agreed that the participation of Serbia at the St. Petersburg Forum in the capacity of the county guest of honor will be an opportunity to present features and results of the Serbian economy in the best way not only in Russia, but also before more than 12,000 participants from around 130 countries," a statement said.

Vucic and Chepurin "expressed the hope that the presentation of Serbia in St. Petersburg will contribute to the intensification of the Serbian-Russian economic cooperation, but also to the overall Serbian-Russian relations."

"On this occasion it was also noted that relations between the two countries are developing well," the government said on its website.


Anti-Corruption Agency gets new director

Dejan Damnjanovic, the head of the cabinet of former Anti-Corruption Agency Director Tatjana Babic, has been appointed as the agrency's new director.
