Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Chepurin said this in an article he wrote for the daily Politika, published on Friday.

In the op-ed dedicated to the anniversary of Russia's diplomatic service, established in 1549, Chepurin spoke about his country's assistance to Serbia over the centuries, to say that it continued today, and accused Pristina of "not paying much heed to Brussels, something that is proved by the shameless obstruction of the agreement of the Community of Serb Municipalities."

Moscow appreciates the efforts of Serbia's leaders to consistently develop bilateral cooperation with Russia, the diplomat said, and concluded:

"I am certain that Russia's further strengthening, its energetic economic development are a great opportunity and advantage for Serbia."
