OSCE in Kosovo urges "professional standards in media"

They should also "maintain professional standards, and refrain from publishing material that may cause tension or unduly undermine the personal and professional integrity of individuals."
A statement posted on the organization's website said that Braathu was "reacting to a recent article on the website of the public broadcaster RTK" when he "called on all journalists and editors to ensure in their work a respect for factual truth and rely on credible information."
"Print, online, radio, and television media, and in particular the public broadcaster, have an obligation to hear and represent all sides of a story. Professional journalism is a cornerstone of democracy and stability in any society. This notion is especially important in the political climate following recent developments,” Braathu said.
