Following the Belgrade-Pristina deal on telecommunications, Slovakia is set to table Chapter 5 in Serbia's EU accession talks in the days to come.

"All but 2 EU members give green light for Chapter 5"

Chapter 5 concerns public procurement.

All but two EU member-states have given the green light for the chapter, she said.

"We are hoping that, now that this obstacle in the dialogue has been removed, we could obtain their consent as well - we are preparing a task force and a discussion for next Friday on common platforms for opening Chapters 25 (science and research) and 26 (education and culture)," Repcekova said.

Of course, our ambition is to open these two chapters by the end of our presidency, she said.

Slovakia took over the EU presidency on July 1.
