This has been announced by the party's leader, Istvan Pasztor.

The referendum question reads as follows: "Do you want to allow the European Union to mandate the resettlement of non-Hungarian citizens to Hungary without the approval of the National Assembly?"

The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) has decided to urge those with the right to vote on October 2 to circle "no", Pasztor said.

He added that the referendum is only superficially Hungary's internal matter, while in reality in can significant for Serbia as well, as it concerns the issue of sovereignty.
