"I am very confident this can be done this year," the EU commissioner for neighborhood policy and enlargement said while presenting the reports on progress of candidate and potential candidate countries before the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday.
Key agreements have been reached in the dialogue on normalization of the Belgrade-Pristina relations, he said, adding that Serbia has been very constructive in developing regional cooperation.
Hahn expressed expectation that the country would move decisively forward with reforms in judiciary, fight against corruption, organized crime.
He said that Serbia acts efficiently in the migrant crisis and has handled the unprecedented influx of refugees "relatively well."
Hahn also stressed it was "important that Serbia maintains the same level of dedication to further progress in normalization of relations with Kosovo."
