The RTS employees said the police did not stop beating them even though they clearly identified themselves as reporters of the Serbian national television, Tanjug is reporting.

The incident happened at the Serbian-Hungarian border where refugees clashed with the Hungarian police.

The Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) reacted late on Wednesday by saying they were "astonished" by the behavior of Hungarian police officers, describing it as "unjustifiable use of force and violation of international regulations on freedom of work of journalists."

Hungarian authorities must apologize to the RTS crew and determine who was responsible for the use of force and for preventing reporters from doing their job, the UNS said in a statement.
