The agency reported that Lukashenko said this during a meeting with Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic.

"I think that your visit will contribute to a strengthening of bilateral relations and be a good step towards the Serbian president's visit to Belarus," the Belarusian president was quoted as saying.

There are several matters that need to be discussed in order to expand the cooperation between Belarus and Serbia, Lukashenko said.

He also stressed that trade between the two countries has increased by nearly five times over a period of five years, but that there is potential to boost it further.
