Seselj expects to receive Hague document

Seselj said he still has not received the decision, "because they wanted to deliver the document in English, and he asked for it to be translated to Serbian."

"I do not intend to hide or run. Since I became a dissident, I have got used to being arrested," Seselj told a press conference in Bor, eastern Serbia.

The leader of the Serb Radical Party was provisionally released in November 2014, after more than 11 years in detention without a verdict. On Monday, the Appeals Chamber, acting on a prosecution motion, ordered the Trial Chamber to immediately revoke the decision and order Seselj back in detention.

“Even when I arrived from The Hague, I said I will not go back to Scheveningen voluntarily. I stand by that, and I do not care about their decision," he added.

What happens next is a question for the Serbian government, President Tomislav Nikolic and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Seselj said.

"They are now in a position to decide on that. The Hague decision was made at their insistence, so that we don't represent a big threat to them in the next election," he asserted, and added that his party was constantly gaining in popularity and was currently "the second most popular party in Serbia."

Government officials, meanwhile, are saying that the Hague decision was directed against them as "an attempt to destabilize Serbia and bring down its government and prime minister."
