"More than CHF 4 million (some EUR 3.27 million) was raised in a matter of days. The money was donated by citizens and private companies through humanitarian organizations. It is a substantial amount and a remarkable result," Ruch told a press conference, adding that the Swiss government will also allocate funds for this purpose.

The solidarity that has been demonstrated is a proof of strong and emotional ties between our two countries, the Swiss ambassador said.

He also underlined that Switzerland will continue to support Serbia on its European path.

"Switzerland will consistently and strongly support your efforts in the reform process but also in the rebuilding of the country after the natural disaster," stressed Ruch.
