Dačić said he expected the forthcoming parliamentary elections to be carried out in a democratic and fair atmosphere.

"The elections will not slow down the European integration process and the implementation of the Brussels agreement because key political factors in Serbia are committed to the EU path and the search for a solution to the Kosovo-Metohija issue through a dialogue," Dačić said.

He expressed the belief that the Serbian parliamentary elections would be organized well in Kosovo and Metohija and that OSCE would make sure that the electoral process in the southern Serbian province is carried out without problems, the Serbian government said in a statement.

"Serbs in Kosovo will be safe and will survive"
