BELGRADE Zoran Babic says the government reshuffle is to be followed by a top tier reshuffle at the state administration, local self-government and public companies. Babic is chairman of the parliament committee on administrative issues and head of the parliamentary group of the Serb Progressive Party (SNS). "Top-tier reshuffle of public administration lies ahead" In a statement for RTS, Babic recalled that the SNS, as the strongest party in the ruling coalition, announced a comprehensive reshuffle at all levels and a system of accountability that will imply the analysis of officials' work. The reshuffle is aimed at ensuring that those who took up the responsibility have the proper knowledge and work in the best possible way to the benefit of citizens, he said. Preferring not to comment on the ministerial candidates nominated by the coalition partner, the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Babic voiced confidence that the new ministers in the government will perform their duties with more knowledge, engagement and energy. After changes to the Law on Ministries were adopted on Thursday and the names of remaining candidates made public, all conditions for the Serbian government reshuffle have been met. Later in the day, Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic will present to MPs the main goals of the reshuffled government, and then the parliament will open a debate on the candidates that will resume on Saturday, when the nine ministers will take the oath of office.
