BELGRADE Greek President Karolos Papoulias has arrived in Belgrade and will hold a series of meetings with Serbian officials on Tuesday. Papoulias met with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, and will also confer with Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic and Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej. Greek President Papoulias starts visit to Serbia The Greek president was welcomed at the Palace of Serbia with highest state honors, including a ceremonial guard and the playing of national anthems. The one-on-one meeting between Nikolic and Papoulias was followed by a meeting of the delegations of Serbia and Greece. Nikolic also presented Papoulias with the Order of the Republic of Serbia, while Papoulias decorated Nikolic with the medal of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Redeemer. The two presidents addressed reporters in a joint news conference. After the talks with Dacic and Stefanovic, Papoulias will appear at an official dinner in his honor hosted by Nikolic.
