Deputy PM: Decision on Pride Parade will be made soon

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić said on Sunday that a decision on the holding of the gay Pride Parade would be made in the next several days.

He told Belgrade-based Prva TV that it would be known in a few days whether the Pride Parade would be held in Belgrade.

The parade is scheduled for Saturday, October 6.

“We will hold a meeting of the Security Service Coordination Bureau in a few days where we will talk with Prime Minister Ivica Dačić, who requested an opinion from all services, so we will make the decision then,” said Vučić who is also a Security Services coordinator.

Member of the Pride Parade organizing committee Goran Miletić told B92 earlier on Sunday that he expected the parade to be held on October 6.
