He spoke while on a visit to Trieste, Italy.

“I am optimistic about the elections. After all, we have had many election campaigns so far and we always won and we will win this time as well,” the Tadić stressed.

However, he did not say whether early presidential elections will be held together with parliamentary, local and provincial elections.

When asked if and when he was planning on calling the presidential elections, Tadić said:

“Renzo Tondo (Friuli Venezia Giulia region president) and I will continue to cooperate after the elections from our respective positions.”

He told a press conference that his visit to Italy had been scheduled in advance and that “he is working on attracting foreign investments in Serbia and on the pre-election process”.

A Serbia-Friuli Venezia Giulia business forum was opened in Trieste on Friday.
