“We have nothing against Serbia establishing new friendly relations but we would not like if it was done at the expense of its friendship with Russia,” he pointed out.

Konuzin is convinced that Serbia would have more to lose than to gain if its relations with Russia became weaker.

The ambassador expressed regret over the fact that not many people in Serbia spoke and understood Russian, unlike before. He called on the authorities to provide the citizens with an opportunity to learn Russian.

Konuzin also stressed that Serbia and Russia had many things in common and an 800-year-long friendship.
