The Diaspora Ministry is receiving demands every day from the Diaspora and region from people who want to become Serbian citizens. Most of the demands are coming from Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkish citizens who are from the Raska region by heritage. Demands for citizenship on increase The Diaspora Ministry stated that it has made an information pamphlet in which there are detailed explanations of the procedure for submitting a demand for receiving Serbian citizenship. Several thousand of these pamphlets were sent out to the Diaspora, the ministry stated. It added that the agreement that was formed with the Interior Ministry for the demands of members of the Diaspora to be handled as emergency cases that need to be taken care of in seven days, has shown great results.
