“I believe that the time of wars in Serbia is in the past, and that the active and reserve military will use its knowledge and abilities in preserving global peace and helping people whenever needed,” Šutanovac said at a ceremony for the end of the school year for reserve officers at the Military Academy.

He said that it is the obligation of every country to participate in keeping peace in the world and to fight terrorism, adding that terrorism is becoming more of a problem every day for all countries of the world.

“There is no alternative for Serbia but the path that leads to integration in the community of European states. That is the only way we can protect our national interest, develop economically and create better living conditions for our citizens,” he said.

Šutanovac said that the public trust in the Serbian military is returning and the military has become one of the country's most significant foreign political capacities.
