Cypriot Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis was in Belgrade Tuesday for an official visit. Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica stressed in a meeting with Kozakou-Marcoullis that Serbia appreciates her country's advocacy of international law and preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, according to Beta news agency. During these meetings, she reemphasized her support of Serbia's views in the status talks, adding that her country will support Serbia's bid for full EU membership. Cyprus, a EU member state, recently announced it would not recognize Kosovo's independence in case it was declared unilaterally, outside of the UN framework.
