US pressure proved efficient: Serbs can sleep peacefully, Albanians accepted proposal

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, stated that the main negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina reached an agreement.

"We have a deal! Very pleased to announce that Chief Negotiators of Kosovo & Serbia under EU-facilitation have agreed on measures to avoid further escalation and to fully concentrate on the proposal on normalization of their relations", Borrell posted on Twitter.

"Serbia will stop issuing license plates with Kosovo Cities’ denominations & Kosovo will cease further actions related to re-registration of vehicles. I will invite the parties in the coming days to discuss next steps", Borrell concluded.

Giaufret: "Very good news"

After Borrell, the head of the EU delegation in Serbia, Emmanuel Giaufret, made a statement.

"Very good news from Brussels. Under EU facilitation a deal was reached to avoid further escalation. Now the Belgrade- Pristina dialogue to focus on normalization of relations", Giaufret said.


Kurti changes attitude? He will accept CSM?

Analyst Visar Ymeri estimated that, with the setting of six conditions, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti decided to form Community of Serbian Municipalities.
