British tennis player defeated Denis Shapovalov in the second round match in three sets with the result 6:1, 3:6, 6:2. Marie will play against Djokovic for the 37th time, and currently the Serbian tennis player is leading 25:11 in head to head meetings.

Although Murray was not initially the favorite in this match, he opened it fantastically and took the lead with the result 6:1 in only 35 minutes in the first set.

In the second set, the left-handed Canadian ran fiercely and started to score much more, so with a break in the sixth game, he managed to win the second set.

The deciding set was on par until Andy Murray managed to take the service away from Shapovalov and then confirmed it for a 5: 2 lead, saving the break point.

In the next game, the Briton once again "broke" the rival and reached the opportunity to play against Novak Djokovic in the third round of the Mutua Madrid Open.
