Split resident who disappeared in Belgrade is still missing, his father has arrived

Nenad Periš, the father of the missing man from Split, who is being intensively searched for by the Ministry of the Interior, arrived in Belgrade tonight, and in a statement for the media he called on the citizens of Serbia to report if they have any information about his son's disappearance.

Peris said that he did not have any new information, but that, as he says, he has absolute trust in the Serbian police.

"I have heard that they work very professionally. They conduct investigations and for any information, they are in charge of giving statements. I trust them and I want to thank them," Peris told reporters, adding that a large number of people from Serbia had called him in the last two days offering help.

A lot of people called me from Serbia, people I don't know offered me help in terms of sleeping, hotels... said the father of a 27-year-old young man, whose disappearance was reported to the Ministry of the Interior on December 31 at 6 p.m. Peris expressed hope that his son would be found.

"I hope for a positive outcome, I absolutely believe in everything that the Serbian police is doing and I am sure that this is the best way to reach a solution," he said, and once again called on everyone if they have any information to come forward.

Ministry of the Interior issued a statement

Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia issued a statement on the occasion of the disappearance of a citizen of Split in Belgrade.

We are transmitting the press release in its entirety.

"Members of the Ministry of the Interior are intensively searching for the MP (1994) whose disappearance was reported by his friend at 6 pm on December 31, 2021. Police officers have been taking all measures and actions in accordance with the law to find the missing young man. Police officers from several organizational units of the Ministry of the Interior are involved in the search for the MP", the statement reads.

Let us remind you, Matej Periš, a young man from Split, was last seen in a Belgrade nightclub. Serbian water polo legends also joined the search for him. Matej is 188 centimeters tall, has blue eyes and hair. The police are in front of the "Gothic" Club, where the missing Matej Periš from Split was last seen on the night between Thursday and Friday.

Four policemen are on the promenade between the club and the river. They are inspecting that part, looking in the direction of the river, and they were leaning over the protective fence, "Blic" writes.

According to media reports, they did not enter the club's premises this morning. Surveillance cameras in front of the "Gothic" club in the Concrete Hall filmed the missing young man, it was unofficially confirmed to "Blic".

According to the media, he was filmed by cameras moving towards the stairs leading down to one of the night clubs. The recording is of poor quality, because it was foggy that evening.
