The Kosovo police have shut down 34 night clubs across Kosovo as part of an operation aimed at preventing human trafficking.

According to a statement on Friday, cited by Beta, "238 were citizens of Albania, 137 of Kosovo, 7 of Serbia, 5 of Macedonia, and one Bulgarian and Moldovan each."

"During the searches of these establishments the police gathered relevant evidence related to human trafficking," the statement continued, and added that "foreign nationals who did not have work and residence permits have had their documents confiscated, and have been turned over to the Direction for Migrations and Foreigners."
