These threats were made a comment posted on the website of a daily newspaper, the Serbian police said.

The arrest was made in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office for High-Technology Crime, the police announced late on Tuesday.

The police found a mobile phone used by the suspect to access a Facebook profile named "Child of Partizan" to post the threats, Tanjug reported.

The suspect has been placed in 48-hour detention pending criminal charges and a transfer to the relevant prosecutor's office, the police said in a statement.

Vucic said earlier in the day his underage daughter had been a target of threats posted by a Facebook user on the website of the Belgrade-based Kurir daily.
