Football hooligans clash in Belgrade

Two groups of supporters of Belgrade's Red Star and Partizan football clubs on Wednesday engaged in a mass fight, when one man was injured.

According to reports, shots were heard fired during the incident that took place in Ljutice Bogdana St..

The police said they detained eight persons, and denied initial reports that one person was injured from firearms.

According to the media, the man who was treated at the military clinic VMA "told the doctors he was shot from a pistol," but they determined this was not the case.

The fans clashed after their clubs played their respective Serbian Cup and national championship games.
