Municipal chief arrested on corruption charges

PANCEVO The president of the Kovacica municipality, Miroslav Krisan, has been arrested on suspicion that he abused his official position. Kristan was detained along with two others. They are believed to have illegally gained RSD 80 million. Municipal chief arrested on corruption charges The Higher Prosecution in Pancevo ordered two employees of the Vojvodina Putevi (Roads) public company to be placed under arrest. They have been identified as Vladan Vidic and Milivoje Durkovic. Krisan is charged for violating the Law on Public Procurement and making payments to Vojvodina Putevi 25 percent higher than the market value of the works the company performed building local roads.
