The explosives were being smuggled out of the Resavica mines in Krepoljina.

Head of the Police Administration in Kragujevac Ivan Đorović told Tanjug that 103 kilograms of explosives and 300 detonators were seized.

Three Resavica miners have been arrested - brothers Slađan and Senad P., and Miodrag Š., all residents of the Žagubica municipality.

Đorović noted that the police "had the information that they also smuggled explosives on previous occasions, but in much smaller quantities."

The police are now investigating "what intentions were behind the theft of the explosives."

According to estimates, the 103 kilograms stolen were worth some EUR 30,000.
