The fire, which is suspected to be the work of arsonists, caused no injuries but damaged two offices.

Firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the blaze swiftly.

Members of the Kosovo police, KPS, also arrived at the scene.

Ivanović, the former state secretary in the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija, told Tanjug that he "does not know who could have set the fire".

He was also quoted as saying that "this incident is probably politically motivated as he does not have a personal conflict with anyone."
