A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured when a bomb exploded in front of a restaurant around 21:40 CET on Thursday in Belgrade.

BELGRADE A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured when a bomb exploded in front of a restaurant around 21:40 CET on Thursday in Belgrade. Despite doctors’ efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries in Belgrade’s Emergency Center and doctors are still fighting to save the life of the injured woman, said Clinical Center of Serbia Spokeswoman Zorica Markovic. The blast caused some damage to nearby cars.

According to unofficial information, the bomb was activated by the man who was killed. Witnesses say the woman cried for help just moments before the explosion took place.
