No new leads in Serb returnees murder case

There are no new details in the case of two murdered Serb returnees and the situation is calm in the village of Talinovac near Uroševac.

Milovan and Ljiljana Jevtić were shot to death in their home on Friday night.

The other Serbs who live in the village have given up on leaving their homes for now.

Bishop of Raška-Prizren Teodosije will visit the Serbs in Talinovac on Sunday.

The Kosovo police have stated that there are no new details in the double murder investigation.

Kosovo police regional spokesman Agim Gashi told Tanjug that he could not talk about the ongoing investigation.

The murder of Milovan and Ljiljana Jevtić is one of the most gruesome crimes that happened in Kosovo since the international peace mission arrived in Kosovo. The other horrific crimes against Serbs are the murder of 14 harvesters near Staro Gacko, the murder of the Stolić family in Obilić, the murder of Serbian children in Goraždevac and the murder of 12 Serbs in a bus near Podujevo.

EU Special Representative in Kosovo Samuel Žbogar said on Sunday that it was very important to quickly solve the murder and apprehend the perpetrators.


Army colonel arrested on corruption charges

A Serbian Army colonel whose initials are V.S. has been placed under arrest on suspicion that he abused his official position and traded in influence.
