"Bomb attached to car" was "plain magnet", police discover
A device attached to a passenger vehicle found in Belgrade on Tuesday was not a bomb but a magnet, local media are reporting.
Source: B92Belgrade daily Večernje Novosti writes that the Renault car parked in Gospodara Vučića St. - owned by a man described as a 25-year-old "construction entrepreneur" - was never sabotaged.
However, it took a MUP bomb squad two hours on Tuesday to detach the device, place it in a container and take it for what they thought would be a "safe detonation".
The police also evacuated a nearby high school, while the traffic in this part of the city was blocked for two hours.
However, once they examined the device, they found out it was "just a plain magnet", the newspaper reports.
