EULEX: Six persons arrested in Kosovo
EULEX police arrested six persons and searched several buildings in Kosovo in the scope of their operation against organized crime, EULEX said on Tuesday.
Source: TanjugMembers of EULEX's police and customs officers confiscated various items from several private and business facilities, including gas stations throughout Kosovo, says the statement.
The investigation and the arrest were carried out within a big operation against organized crime, smuggling of goods, tax evasion, fraud, evasion of import duties and money laundering.
The case was investigated by EULEX's prosecutor from the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office.
According to the Priština-based KTV, the captured people are associates of Zvonko Veselinović, a businessman from Kosovska Mitrovica.
Veselinović and his brother Žarko were arrested at Mount Kopaonik in central Serbia in mid-December, on charges of illicit production and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials.
KFOR believes Veselinović was the organizer of last summer's clashes at the administrative crossing of Jarinje.
