Karadžić pleads innocence in letter

Radovan Karadžić has submitted a letter to the Hague Tribunal in which he states that he is not guilty on any of the counts of the indictment against him.

The former Bosnian Serb leader has thus far refused to enter a plea to the charges of genocide, murder and torture during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

A date has still to be set for the start of his trial, though the president of the Hague Tribunal recently told the UN Security Council that it would get under way in late August.
