According to the daily, the reason for Jovanović’s remains unknown.

It will become clear in the coming days whether the latest arrest was on the basis of an international warrant issued by Serbia, or whether he committed a new crime. He was released on June 6 from extradition custody in Italy where he was arrested on an Interpol warrant issued by Serbia, where he has a two-year sentence for extortion hanging over him.

The former Zemun Clan member spent over 10 months in custody in Italy, waiting for Serbia to supply the necessary documentation for his extradition. However, when the documents arrived in early June, they were incomplete, and Jovanović was released.
