The NUNS has stressed that the murders of journalists Dada Vujasinovic, Slavko Curuvija and Milan Pantic remain unsolved. The Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (NUNS) adds that the individuals who attacked B92 cameraman Bosko Brankovic have yet to be punished. Journalists’ anger at unsolved murders The Association also states that the name of the policeman who attacked Beta news agency journalist Milos Djorelijevski has still to be made public. NUNS states that the “disgraceful verdicts” against Kragujevac newspaper Svetlost and Sabac journalist Hanibal Kovac show that the judicial system has “openly sided with those who want to suppress freedom of speech and endanger the journalistic profession.” Due to the constant attacks on reporters and numerous incidents against journalists, NUNS has decided to hold a Remembrance Day campaign on the last Friday of every month. The Association also states that the name of the policeman who attacked Beta news agency journalist Miloš Đorelijevski has still to be made public.
