Material damage incurred during Tuesday’s clashes in central Belgrade will reach about EUR 37,500. More than 100 workers from Belgrade’s communal services managed to clear up more than 70 cubic meters of rubbish, remove damaged rubbish containers, shattered glass, and dozens of street stalls, says daily Vecernje Novosti. The windows of a sports shop in the city center were also broken, and across the street a porcelain shop lost part of its stock, including glass plates, glasses and cutlery that were in the window. Vesna Dramlic , the sports shop manager, said that three windows would have to be replaced, and that one window alone cost around EUR 500. “It’s terrible, what else can I say. They’ve trashed everything and stolen whatever they could lay their hands on,” said Peđa, the shop owner.
