KPS in illegal weapons clampdown

The KPS have arrested 5 people and seized more than 14,000 rounds of ammunition in the last 48 hours. Yesterday, in the village of Dumos close to Podujevo, police arrested Sami Kutleshi and Ramush Kutleshi, both 18, in whose homes they discovered 10,000 rounds of ammunition, two 6.35 mms, and a shotgun. On Tuesday, police seized 1,412 rounds of ammunition, a gun and an Opel Frontera and arrested two suspects—Mehdi Llimani, 48, and Skender Mehmeti, 25.

The Kosovo Police Service (KPS) also found seven shotguns and a further 2,880 rounds of ammunition in a Mitsubishi close to the Albanian border, and arrested Isa Hoxha from Mališevo.
