Serbian police (MUP) has no information on Mladic's whereabouts, Interior Minister Dragan Jocic says. "Perhaps [Special War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir] Vukcevic has that information, but he must tell us about it," the minister commented on the prosecutor's recent statement that Mladic was in Serbia, while another Hague fugitive from the ranks of war-time Bosnian Serb leaders, Radovan Karadzic, was hiding "in the region." Jocic: MUP has no information on Mladic "No individual can make assessments alone. On behalf of the MUP I can say that we do not have such information, perhaps Vuckovic does, but he must tell us," Jocic told reporters in Belgrade Friday. He also voiced hope that police will be equally successful in its fight against organized crime next year, as it has been in 2007. "Crime cannot disappear altogether, but [its levels] can be made tolerable. I hope that 2008 will not prove to bring more problems than the amount police are already handling," Jocic said.
