In response to a list containing the names of seven Croatian political officials allegedly involved in the 1995 Operation Storm that Croatia’s state television (HRT) published on Monday, Sanader held an emergency press conference where he dismissed the notion of a joint criminal enterprise, deeming it “unacceptable to Croatia’s government.”

“There is no legal basis to extend the indictment, so every speculation in that sense has no legal foundation. There are no new indictees, no new names that might be put under a Hague investigation, nor does the existing indictment regarding the Operation Storm case contain these names,” Sanader stressed.

Croatia’s state television on Monday named seven Croatian officials, suspected members of a joint criminal enterprise that organized Operation Storm to expel ethnic Serbs from Croatia.
